The AMP Global Strategies (AMP) Gun Shot Detection System powered by EAGL Technologies is a single source solution which detects live gunfire by using an energy-based analysis algorithm to detect a gunshot and eliminate false alerting. The AMP Safe Schools solution contains a Ballistic Analysis Function, an Access Control Module, and Camera Control Function. Additionally, each school building will be equipped with a camera weapon detection system which can use an existing security camera feed which immediately alerts the correctly vetted individuals when a drawn weapon is detected in the viewer area. This project proposes a weapon detection system integrated with the existing camera system at each building. Unlike other solutions that use listening devices to detect a gunshot, with their patented energy-based analysis our technology eliminates individual privacy concerns and ensures compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
