SLC Mobile Application Privacy Policy

By using our mobile application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Introduction. Welcome to the PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference’s mobile application (mobile application). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and share information about you when you use this mobile application. By using the mobile application, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

 

Information We Collect. We may collect the following types of information:

  • Information you voluntarily provide us: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, payment details (if applicable), and any other information you voluntarily provide.
  • We also collect other data from the use of our mobile application, such as IP addresses, browser type, operating system, emails, text messages, referring URLs, other technical data and other user content.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and gather analytical data. Our cookie pop-up plugin will inform you of the specific cookies used.

How We Use Your Information. We collect and use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve our mobile application services.
  • To communicate with you regarding PSBA activities, events and updates.
  • To process transactions and manage memberships (if applicable).
  • To ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • To analyze mobile application performance and user engagement.
  • For functional purposes of the mobile application.

Sharing Your Information. We do not sell or rent your personal information. However, we may share your data with trusted partners and service providers in the following instances:

  • With service providers who assist in website and application operations and analytics.
  • With affiliates of business partners who offer products and services relevant to PSBA members in furtherance of PSBA’s mission to support Pennsylvania’s public education community.
  • With legal or regulatory authorities if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
  • In other situations that are consistent with the purpose for which the information was provided, including administrative or operational needs related to member services.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies. At this time, our mobile app does not include an in-app cookie consent popup. However, users may manage their device settings to limit certain tracking or data collection (e.g., reset advertising identifiers or adjust app permissions).

Data Security. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If your personal data is compromised in a security breach, we will notify you and follow State law.

Data Retention. We retain your personal data indefinitely, unless a different retention period is required by law.

Your Rights. Following applicable Pennsylvania laws, and guidance from the General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

Third-Party Links. Our mobile application may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

Children’s Privacy. The mobile application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. By using the mobile application after any changes to this policy, you are accepting those changes.
